Our New Board of Trustees Gets to Work
Blue Hill Observatory’s new Board of Trustees and its committees are meeting and focused on the Observatory’s next chapter.
Blue Hill Observatory & Science Center, Milton, Massachusetts.
On September 1, Blue Hill Observatory & Science Center transitioned from its Board of Directors to a new Board of Trustees, operating under updated bylaws and a modern governance structure. Thirteen trustees now lead the organization, combining scientific expertise with deep experience in finance, technology, law, philanthropy, and organizational governance.
The new Board is already at work. Its standing committees have begun meeting, and trustees are focused on long-term strategy, philanthropy, and strong stewardship of the Observatory and its record.
Congratulations, Dr. Ledley
Dr. Tamara Shapiro Ledley, Chair of the Board of Trustees, was named a 2026 Fellow of the American Geophysical Union this fall, one of the highest honors in the Earth and space sciences. Read about Tamara’s selection.
