CRISP AND COOL START TO NOVEMBER WITH LIGHT WINDS….
Skies have been clear all day yet again with the exception of
morning stratocumulus and cirrus to our south. It has been a
beautiful day to get outside and enjoy fall, though a bit on
the cool side compared to earlier in the week.
Temperatures were chilly this morning, dipping down to 35F during
the early morning hours. The dry air and all day sunshine did warm
things up a bit, and as of the 1pm final observation, we are sitting
at 1 degree above average for this time of year, at 56F. Dew Points
remain in the upper 20s and early 30s, which is quite dry. This is
another reason why despite being seasonable, it feels a bit cooler
outside.
Winds started out of the north-northwest early this morning before
shifting more westerly by the mid morning to early afternoon hours.
Winds have been light and variable at times, with an average only
around 8mph for the day so far. The peak gust occurred early this
afternoon just after 12:30pm at a speed of 18mph.
Visibility remains clear again, with a continuous 80 mile view!
The maximum temperature so far today is 56F, which is 1 degree
above the normal high of 55F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 35F, which is 3 degrees below the normal low of 38F.
