ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0620E
SUNSET: 1635E
WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUE UNDER PARTIAL SUNSHINE….
Today has featured a mix of sun and clouds as mid and high level
clouds stream across the region today. There has been enough sun
to allow temperatures to really take off today, with readings
reaching the mid 70s early this afternoon. This is nearly 20F
degrees above normal for early November!
The record high temperature for today is 75F set in 1990, and so
far we’ve come within 1F degree of tying the record. Dew point
values were rising through the 40s during the morning, reaching
the upper 40s before some mixing from aloft kicked in causing
values to drop early this afternoon.
Winds have generally been on the light side today, however they
have picked up a bit early this afternoon with the mixing from
aloft. A southwest to west-southwest wind has been averaging at
around 10mph for the day so far. The peak gust for the day so far
is 22mph, which occurred just before 2pm this afternoon.
Visibility is a bit more limited today than yesterday with quite
a bit of haziness out there. The view has been gradually
decreasing from around 50 miles to 40 miles as the day has
progressed.
The maximum temperature so far today is 74F, which is 19 degrees
above the normal high of 55F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 52F, which is 14 degrees above the normal low of 38F.
